    Join us for our 6th annual Woofstock! This is an event for anyone that has a furry, four-legged family member at home they would like to show their appreciation to! Bring your pup out to Odlum Dog Park for a fun-filled day of music, an agility course, prizes, and much more! Pet health, safety information, and pup-friendly vendors will be available as well as a special treat for you and your puppy-pal to take home with you!
    If you are not a Pooch Pass holder, you MUST bring proof of vaccinations or you may not enter our dog park.

    137608 - Touch-A-Truck

    Touch-A-Truck puts kids in the driverís seat, where they can toot a horn of a mighty truck! It is a great opportunity to spend quality time with your children sharing a fun-filled family day. Inspect the equipment and meet the men and women who operate the big rigs.
    Touch, honk, and climb aboard a variety of specialized vehicles and equipment that are on display. Kids can come and explore their favorite vehicles including semi-trucks, fire engines, police cars, and construction equipment.
    If you have a big and exciting truck or piece of equipment and would like to participate in the Roselle Park Districtís Touch-A-Truck event, contact Dana Colantuono at 630 894 4200 ext. 232 or dcolantuono@rparks.org.
    This is a FREE family event, all children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!

    337601 - Dog Obedience Class

    Does your dog take you for a walk? Run away when you call him? Only the most effective up to date methods are used for fast and reliable results. Understanding dog behaviors is just as important as the mechanics. This course is designed to educate the public on being responsible dog owners and to recognize and control problems before they become unmanageable. You will teach your dog heel, sit, down, stay, stand for veterinary exam, and come when called. You will see improvement immediately following the first session and thereafter in working with your dog for only 30 min per day. The first class is mandatory and without your dog. All dogs participating are required to be up to date on immunizations (rabies, parvo, and distemper) and a negative stool sample checked no more than two weeks prior to the first class.     Egg hunts arenít just for kids; they are for our furry friends too! Bring your pup out to Odlum Dog Park to sniff out some treat filled eggs. The first pooch to sniff it, gets it! Please bring a basket to collect your dogís eggs. Refreshments will be served for dog owners and their families. Donít forget your cameras; this event is worth a few snapshots! If you are not a Roselle Park District Pooch Pass holder, proof of vaccinations is needed at time of registration. Pre-registration is required.

    337610 - Breakfast W/ Bunny

    Join us for a fun filled morning and delicious breakfast brought to you by Roselleís very own Brunch Cafť. Breakfast will include scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, potatoes and a variety of beverages. Parentsódon't forget to bring your camera; there will be a special photo op for your youngster and our special guest. After your hot and tasty breakfast, meet us at the Clauss Recreation Center baseball fields for an egg hunt. Plastic eggs filled with candy and toys will be hidden throughout the age designated areas. Some lucky children may even find an egg with a golden ticket which means they won a special prize! Registration is required. Fee is per person and includes catered breakfast followed by an egg hunt. Children ages 3 and under are free.

    337630 - Dine N' Dash

    Back by popular demand! Sign up your four person team for this exciting, unique team relay race and eating competition! The first 3 team members will have the daunting task of completing a 5K run followed by consuming one of the local dishes from Brunch Cafť, Serinoís, and The Italian Pizza Kitchen. To finish the race, the fourth team member (who does not run) must devour a giant, ice cream covered chocolate chip Rooskie from Roosters. All participants will receive a Dine N' Dash 2014 commemorative t-shirt and a goodie bag with vendor giveaways and coupons. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams who complete the Dine N' Dash in the fastest time. There will be new specialty recognition awards this year for Team Spirit, Best Dressed Team, Most Creative Team Name, Fastest Eaters, and Fastest 5k runner. This isnít your ordinary 5k, and these arenít your ordinary awards! Also, new this year we will have various mini fitness and food competitions for spectators and racers to compete in when you arenít busy cheering on your team.
    We will have an official timing system on-site for this race.
    Team Captains can register online and a race packet with information and team member waivers must be completed and return to the park district prior to the race. No on-site registration will be accepted.
    Weather Permitting, Rain date will be on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
